Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce | Nostalgia Events Programme

redjelly have recently completed a 20 page events programme for Nostalgia Weekend 2009 on behalf the Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce. The Programme was designed with a feel of the 40's and 50's. Having only images provided by the Chamber staff and local contributors, the publication took on a life of its own, developing into something which had a personality of the those involved.

Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry have great pleasure in presenting to you a weekend of 1940’s and 50’s nostalgia in and around the town of Troon, Ayrshire, Scotland. Over the last year the Nostalgia Project Committee has worked with members from the public and private sectors, local communities and local community groups to devise a programme that will see Troon taken back to the days of the 1940’s & 50’s.

The inspiration for the weekend can be attributed to an old faded family photo belonging to Bill Elliot, a US television executive. Bill was only a baby when his father died and one of Bill’s treasured family photographs was of an airman, Captain Arthur Elliot, his father, taken during a military stop over ‘somewhere’ in Scotland!
